Bachelor League Commentary: Andi + A Rose Ceremony + One Fantasy Suite
Nick's Bachelor Blog (People)
With the FINNISH line around the corner we packed our boots and coats and traveled all the way north to Lapland, Finland. Finland is one of the most romantic places I’ve ever been to in my life, and the moment I arrived I knew that it would be the perfect place to end this journey.

The overnight dates took place in Inari Saariselka, which is very far up north in Finland, and it was an amazing place to see the Northern Lights. It was also very cold, and very quiet. The sun didn’t really rise until about 10 a.m., and it started setting at 3 p.m. This, obviously meant longer nights, and longer overnights, which is great — because at this point, Nick needs every moment he can get with these women to find out what to do next.

I love the many sides of Raven. She’s got that tough veneer (Nick said he’d never seen her so emotional as on her Hometown) yet it’s balanced by her Southern sweetness. I particularly liked how she’s never seemed in the throes of drama in the house (from what we saw) and, despite her dry wit and commentary, seemed very well-liked by the women.
Don't miss Sharleen's full recap on her website too!
I was so sure Nick would want to take Corinne to the fantasy suite. Ha! But I have to say that I am totally impressed that he didn’t let his you know what do the picking for him. Seriously, I mean that as a real compliment.
Raven ended up scoring the first one on one date and while she and Nick enjoyed a nice fireside conversation … Nick swiftly took her wine out of her hand (FYI: Big NO NO guys!!) for fear that she was going to spill it … when instead all she spilled was … well, her whole sexual history.

The best thing we get out of Nick and Andi's conversation is that Nick admits he's been guarded with the women. I've been hearing a lot of fans saying they're disappointed this season because they're not feeling a super strong connection between Nick and any of the girls. In my opinion, now we know why. He's done this four times. He knows how bad it feels to be "led on" through this process. He knows how it feels to fall in love with someone who is falling in love with someone else. He wants to do his best to prevent the girls from feeling this type of pain. He also is just scared because it's always been so open in the past but it's never worked out and I think he's protecting himself now. It's possibly making for, well, slower TV.
Carly + Evan for Bustle
Evan's take on the Fantasy Suite: At 7:30 a.m., after a glorious five hours alone together the cameras came knocking. There was a mad rush to throw on bathrobes and a half-hearted attempt to put the room back together from all of the overnight shenanigans. We had ordered breakfast the night before to be delivered, so with breakfast came a slew of activity and everyone dying to know how it went. It went well.

The meeting ends with the final task on the Nick Viall Image Redemption To-Do List.

What is with this season? Can’t we get the Fantasy Suites in a tropical location? Is Nick that in-his-head about his sexual choices he needs to put layers of wool between him and the ladytestants?

Raven professes her love for Nick, but it’s not her last confession of the night. After the Fantasy Suite card arrives, she has two more bombshells for her potential fiance: 1) She’s only slept with one person and 2) She’s never had an orgasm. Those are some big
condomshoes to fill for our Bachelor. Nick wonders if, maybe, he shouldn’t sleep with any of the women.
And now I’m more convinced than ever that Caitlyn and Andi dumped Nick because he’s lousy in bed.
I Hate Green Beans by Lincee Ray
Vanessa is in a beige bando dress with a black leather jacket, unfazed by the wintery chill. Rachel is in a green off-the-shoulder number with a borrowed coat from the makeup lady. Raven is in a crop-topped black sequins number that we barely see because homegirl came prepared in a sensible London Fog and Corinne, rocking a fresh weave, is wearing what looks like a fancy bathing suit with a rabbit shrug. All stand in a straight rose-receiving line and try to not catch pneumonia, while Nick puzzled through harem with his ex-girlfriend.
TV Lust by Abby Draper
Nick offers her the fantasy suite invitation; she accepts and then tells him that she’s only been with one man and that she’s never had an orgasm. Nick’s already been with two women in fantasy suites and they both dumped him. Pressure's on, Viall.
Reality Steve (SPOILERS!)
I’m not sure what prompted her to let everyone in America in on her little secret (well fine, 7 million + people), but I’m not sure I would’ve shared that if I was her. Ultimately it falls on her, but as we know how this show works, she was certainly coerced with alcohol/producer questioning for them to get her to say that on camera. There’s no way someone would just offer something like that up you wouldn’t think, especially someone who doesn’t have much of a sexual past like Raven.
So I think we're all about ready to mark down February 27, 2017 as the day the Bachelor producers officially gave up. It's like they showed up to work, got a midday text from their ex, and then couldn't concentrate anymore so they were like fuck it, one hour's fine. It's like when I tell myself I'm going to stay on the treadmill for an hour but then around 20 minutes in I decide that half an hour is the actual recommended dose of daily exercise and I barely ate today anyway.
Meanwhile, there's Vanessa, who laments the fact that Nick doesn't make her feel special. Betch, please. If you want to feel special, then go to the personality store and buy a better personality. BURN. Honestly though, I can no longer deal with these women complaining about how hard this process is for them. You knew what you signed up for. It's like eating cheese and then complaining that it gave you gas. If you didn't want to have the farts then you shouldn't have put that slice of gouda in your mouth!
