So here's the deal.
I started Bachelor League in May of 2012, for Desiree's season of The Bachelorette. I had twelve members, including myself, and it was conducted over a group email. Fancy stuff.
One year later, I upgraded to a secret Facebook group with a whopping 25 members. At that point, I was mystified that so many people would want to participate in my little fantasy league.
I'm about to celebrate the two year anniversary of bachelorleague.com, and I can't quite wrap my brain around what Bachelor League looks like now. 75 private leagues, 175 in the public league, 1078 total participants. Hell, last season I was even part of a front page story in the Wall Street Journal. This is madness, I tell you. And I'm thankful for every single second of it. (Even when I'm drinking coffee at 12:30 AM after watching Monday's episode, in order to get everything organized and updated. I failed.)
What else is madness? THESE DUDES. (Queen of the segue, I am not. Apologies.)
I promise to have more entertaining commentary next week, but right now my brain is F-R-I-E-D. I'll be wittier once the registration rush is over and I can get some decent sleep.
